Overview
About this Position
The position is a staff position located at the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). This position reports directly to the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution in Mathematics, Business, Research or other related field plus two (2) years of experience in educational assessment or;
- Master’s Degree from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution in Mathematics, Business, Research, or related field plustwo (2) years of experience in educational assessment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have experience in Program Review and Outcomes Assessment.
- Must know post-secondary institutions, assessment theory and practices, and qualitative and quantitative measurement techniques.
- Must have a strong computer background including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, preferably Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications.
- Able to communicate effectively with students and employees of the college, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks while maintaining composure under stressful conditions.
- Completes and prioritizes tasks accurately and promptly.
- Takes initiative and works both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must be able to present information clearly and professionally.
- Evidence of commitment to collaboration, and transparency; and
- Evidence of effective collaboration with external stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participates in Program Review and Outcomes Assessment (PROA) activities.
- Provides administrative support and be an active member of the Planning, Program Review, and Outcomes Assessment Committee (PROAC).
- Monitors the ongoing progress of assessment and program review activities and provides updates to the Director of OIE and to PROAC.
- Assists with the production of annual reports, including the Annual PROAC Composite Report.
- Assists with accreditation, planning, and budgeting activities related to assessment and program review at the college.
- Assists all programs to develop and implement annual program outcomes assessment and cyclical program review activities and documentation.
- Provides one-on-one assistance to college employees on program outcomes assessment and program review activities, including the required assessment and program review documentation, and on appropriate assessment strategies and use of data for continuous program improvement.
- Provides one-on-one assistance on the use of the college’s digital assessment and reporting tools.
- Manages digital assessment and reporting tools.
- Archives all records of assessment and program review-related activities, including electronic and hard copy documents.
- Provides high-quality internal and external customer service.
- Performs administrative duties and other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Essential Functions of the Position
Must be able to frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. The individual in this position will frequently communicate with students and their colleague(s) in order to exchange information in various situations. Occasionally lifts office products and supplies, weighing up to 10 Ibs.
