Students who are looking for assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are encouraged to attend the upcoming free workshops hosted by the Northern Marianas College’s Financial Aid Office. Up to $7.3K is available in Federal Aid for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
The workshops will assist participants in completing the 2024-25 FAFSA form before the Fall 2024 semester. Individuals who complete a FAFSA may be able to access up to $7,395 in federal financial aid for NMC’s upcoming academic year. The workshops are open to students in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
To ensure completion, students and parents must create their Federal Student Aid (FSA) IDs (FAFSA accounts) three days prior to the workshop to complete the verification process. To create an FSA ID, visit www.studentaid.gov and click “Create Account.” This will require personal information, the creation of a username and password, security questions, and contact information verification. Students and parents must have a separate FSA ID and are encouraged to keep their information safe as the NMC Financial Aid Office does not have access to account recovery.
Seats are limited per day and attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop if they have one. However, laptops and other devices will be made available to facilitate the application process. Incentives will be given out to those who successfully complete their FAFSA forms. Students, parents, and others who plan to attend the workshop must register here: https://bit.ly/4eUJRqn.
